"Kambo" or "Sapo" is a glandular secretion from a frog called Phyllomedusa bicolor that is found mainly in the rainforests of South America. This secretion is used in the traditional rituals of the Amazonian tribes as a therapeutic and ceremonial agent.
This secretion contains various substances, such as peptides, enzymes, hormones. When it is administered to the body, it can cause various physiological and psychological reactions.
Kambo works on the physical body by causing so-called "vomiting", which means that after administration of secretions into the body, some people may experience symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, high blood pressure, severe abdominal pain and headache, and a feeling of weakness. Kambo helps detoxify the body and improve overall health.
Energetically, Kambo is considered a powerful cleansing and harmonizing tool. People who have undergone the Kambo ceremony claim that this secretion helps them to cleanse their mind, body and soul, as well as to achieve better emotional and spiritual balance.
However, keep in mind that Kambo is not safe for everyone and may be harmful for people with certain diseases or conditions, such as heart disease, digestive system disease, or mental illness. Pregnancy is also an absolute contraindication. That's why it's important to consult your doctor or trusted practitioner.
