Yawanawa Kanaro
Yawanawa Kanaro follows the basic Yawanawa recipe from Tsunu ashes. Kanaro is the Blue Macaw, the messenger. They have their beautiful saité (songs) in which they tell their stories. The creator of this Rapé is Shaneihu, grandson of the famous pajé Yawa and son of the leader Biraci. He was the last to undergo Muka's Annual Initiative Diet accompanied by his grandfather before he died. This is a very serious diet that gives spiritual credibility to anyone who obeys it. He is also a very talented musician who recorded and produced the amazing Kanaro album.
The Yawanawá have a close relationship with the environment and their traditional way of life is deeply intertwined with the natural world. They rely on the forest and its resources for subsistence, and their beliefs, customs, and spirituality are closely tied to the land and animals. The Yawanawá view themselves as guardians of the forest and its ecosystem, and they have a deep respect for the balance and interdependence of all living things.
