This tepi model is carved with a bear motif. The animal is set into the body of the tool so it forms an integral part of the shape, not an added detail. You can see the worked fur texture, the snout, and the paws, and the overall feel is calm and raw.
Material - dark Waru wood
Waru is a hard and dense wood. In the dark version it most often leans toward deep browns, sometimes with subtle, low-contrast grain. After finishing, the surface feels smooth, but you can still sense the natural character of the material - especially on carved areas, where light interacts differently with the texture.
