Las Szamana is one of the few producers in Poland creating Kuripe from this exceptional wood.
Hibiscus tiliaceus, also known as Waru, Sea Hibiscus, or hau, is a tropical plant from the mallow family, naturally found in many coastal regions of the tropical and subtropical zones. In traditional craftsmanship, it is valued for wood with a natural, warm character, good durability, and a pleasant structure.
Waru wood is used to create functional, decorative, and ceremonial objects. It has a natural, organic appearance, works well with hand processing, and allows for a smooth, pleasant-to-touch finish. This makes it suitable as a material for Kuripe - a personal ceremonial pipe with a unique character.
The "STANDING OWL" model was created for people who feel connected to the symbolism of mindfulness, silence, observation, and inner wisdom. The owl has long been associated with intuition, the ability to see what is hidden, calm presence, and looking deeper than the surface of things.
