Description
"RIO" Decorated Tepi from Horn
Handcrafted Peruvian tepi made of natural horn with decorations in the form of a woven multicolored thread wrapping
Size: Universal
Handmade product.
Traditional craft from Peru made exclusively for Las Szamana.
Due to the organic origin of raw materials and the fully manual crafting process, each tepi stands out with a unique character. Individual pieces may differ from one another in the shade, texture, and natural discolorations of the horn, the exact arrangement and color saturation of the woven thread, and minor inlay details. These unique features serve as authentic proof of the nobility of the materials and the unrepeatable work of human hands.
Las Szamana presents a unique piece of Amazonian craftsmanship – Tepi Río. Crafted from solid, carefully polished natural horn, it captivates with its depth of color and intricate details. In tribal tradition, the river is a powerful symbol of the continuous flow of energy, purification, emotional fluidity, and the path of life. Tepi is used to share medicine with another person, which helps build an energetic bond, trust, and support during ceremonial work.
The construction of the item utilizes the primal, dynamic shape of the horn, which naturally enhances and directs the airflow. The body has been adorned with a precise woven thread wrapping in cool shades of blue, grey, beige, and burgundy, resembling the rushing currents of a river, complete with subtle turquoise-like accents. Precisely formed and smoothed outlet edges ensure perfect airtightness and a clean, precise, and unobstructed airflow.
The ergonomic and slightly curved build of the horn offers a secure grip and full comfort during the transmission of medicine. Tepi Río is a harmonious synthesis of the wild power of an animal attribute and the colorful expression of Amazonian artisan craft.
