A kuripe made from white tamarind is a simple wooden tool made from a light material that visually stands apart from darker wood types. The overall look is calm - a light aesthetic, natural grain, and no strong contrasts.
White tamarind (a lighter variety of tamarind) is usually creamy to light beige in color, sometimes with subtle warmer streaks. The structure is fine, and the grain isn’t harsh - it “flows” rather than sharply standing out. After finishing, the wood feels smooth and pleasant to the touch, and over time it may darken slightly and settle into a calmer tone.
Each piece is handmade, so small differences in shade and grain layout are possible. That’s normal with wood. Lighter species also tend to show small nuances more clearly: subtle discolorations, micro-transitions of color, and slight differences in how “creamy” the tone appears.
