Description
Kuripe made from Sawo Wood "Peacock"
The "Peacock" model is a carved kuripe with a bird motif on the body, with a clearly marked crest and tail. You can see the feather cuts on the wings and tail, and the overall form is more figurine-like than classic, simple kuripes. It’s a tool that also works as a small object in the space.
Material - sawo wood
Sawo wood usually has a warm brown palette, often with a caramel or slightly reddish tone. The structure is rather fine, and after finishing the surface becomes smooth and pleasant to the touch. Depending on the specific piece, natural streaks and color transitions may appear, from lighter to darker areas.
Handcraft and differences
Each piece is handmade, so small differences in wood shade, grain layout, and carving details are normal. In figurine models, variations can be more noticeable because feather cuts and carved edges catch the light differently than a flat surface.
What sets this variant apart
-
a carved peacock silhouette with a detailed tail and crest
-
the warm brown tone of sawo wood
-
a more object-like character while keeping the kuripe function
If you want a kuripe with an animal motif and a clear carving, the "Peacock" in sawo wood is a calm, well-finished variant where the detail takes the lead.
