Description
"JAGUAR" Tepi Made of Indian Rosewood
Dalbergia latifolia
Size: M
Handmade product.
Las Szamana® is one of the few producers in Poland creating Tepi from this exceptional wood.
Dalbergia latifolia, also known as Indian rosewood, Sono, or Sonokeling, is one of the most valued exotic wood species. It comes from regions of South and Southeast Asia, and its wood has long been used in craftsmanship, lutherie, furniture making, carving, and the creation of premium decorative and functional objects.
Indian rosewood stands out for its high hardness, density, durability, and exceptionally elegant appearance. Its color may range from warm browns, through deep chocolate tones, to darker, almost black streaks. The natural grain of the wood gives each piece an individual, noble, and very expressive character.
Sono wood is valued for its stability, resistance, and beautiful finish after processing. After careful sanding, it gains a smooth, pleasant surface, while its natural pattern remains strong and decorative. It is a material that works well in objects created with attention to detail, durability, and aesthetics.
The "JAGUAR" model was created for people who feel connected to the symbolism of power, courage, instinct, and deep contact with the unseen world of nature. In many traditions, the jaguar is associated with night, silence, protection, inner strength, and the ability to move between what is visible and what is hidden.
The symbolism of the jaguar is neither loud nor showy. It is power that acts in focus. It is alertness, presence, and certainty of movement. The jaguar reminds us to trust our own instinct, to enter the shadow without fear, and to recognize the strength that appears when a person stops running from their truth.
Combined with Indian rosewood, this model gains a deep, elegant, and highly noble character. The dark, dense wood works beautifully with the symbolism of the jaguar - guardian of instinct, silence, courage, and hidden strength. It is a Tepi with a powerful presence, made from wood of exceptional prestige and natural beauty.
Each Tepi is handmade, so individual pieces may slightly differ in shade, grain pattern, intensity of streaks, and finishing details. This is a natural feature of working with wood, making every product unique and giving it its own character.
