Description
"HOJA" Decorated Tepi from Horn
Handcrafted Peruvian tepi made of natural horn with decorations in the form of a carved leaf and a colorful snake
Size: Universal
Handmade product.
Traditional craft from Peru made exclusively for Las Szamana.
Due to the organic origin of raw materials and the fully manual crafting process, each tepi stands out with a unique character. Individual pieces may differ from one another in the shade, texture, and natural discolorations of the horn, the precise placement of the carved leaf, the colors of the snake, and minor inlay details. These unique features serve as authentic proof of the nobility of the materials and the unrepeatable work of human hands.
Las Szamana presents a unique piece of Amazonian craftsmanship, Tepi Hoja. Crafted from solid, carefully polished natural horn, it captivates with its depth of color and intricate details. In tribal tradition, the leaf symbolizes the power of healing plants, growth, connection with Mother Earth, and life-giving medicine. Tepi is used to share medicine with another person, which helps build an energetic bond, trust, and support during ceremonial work.
The construction of the item utilizes the primal, dynamic shape of the horn, which naturally enhances and directs the airflow. The body has been adorned with a spatial figure of a carved green leaf and a colorful snake, contrasting boldly with a dark, braided band and a turquoise-like accent. Precisely formed and smoothed outlet edges ensure perfect airtightness and a clean, precise, and unobstructed airflow.
The ergonomic and slightly curved build of the horn offers a secure grip and full comfort during the transmission of medicine. Tepi Hoja is a harmonious synthesis of the wild power of nature and the botanical expression of Amazonian artisan craft.
