Parika is a type of incense that is used in rituals and ceremonies by indigenous Amazonian tribes such as the Kuntanawa, Yawanawa, Katukina and others. Parika is made from the leaves and twigs of the Parika plant, which is grown and harvested by these tribes. The leaves and twigs are dried, ground and mixed with other ingredients such as bark, flowers and roots to create an incense blend. Parika is used for cleansing, protection and healing, as well as for communication with spirits and gods. It is also used in initiation and healing ceremonies, as well as in fishing and harvesting rituals.
Parika ashes are the ashes that are produced when burning the wood of a plant called Parika.
