Ceremonial Cocoa
origin: Ecuador
Cocoa properties
Cocoa is known for its extremely valuable properties that support health and mental well-being. Research confirms that cocoa helps to relieve stress by reducing the level of stress hormones in the body and improves blood flow to the brain, which increases mental alertness, awareness and focus. It maintains smoother skin, normalizes blood pressure.
Cocoa contains many minerals, such as iron, chromium, zinc and potassium. However, cocoa beans are, above all, the richest source of magnesium. This element is invaluable to our body, and we often suffer from its deficiency. Magnesium has a positive effect on the heart, the most important human organ, and improves blood circulation. It has a big impact on our mind - it increases its efficiency and alleviates the effects of stress. It also has anti-depressant effects and naturally improves mood.
In addition, cocoa beans are an aphrodisiac, which increases the desire for sex. They also contain phenylethylamine, a chemical that makes us look at someone through pink glasses. This hormone is secreted in our brain in moments of pleasure and sexual arousal. This healing plant, opens the heart, gently changes awareness, stimulates, sets in bliss.
Cocoa can be used to:
• Remove emotional blocks
• Release old relationships
• Better to understand yourself
• Make contact with your creativity
• Increase concentration and mental performance
• Help to deepen the practice of yoga and meditation
Cocoa is strongly associated with the space of the heart. It was traditionally used by the Maya and Aztecs as a holy healing plant supporting internal travels to spiritual worlds. It is said that cocoa corrects the imbalance between mind and heart, helps to fully open the heart, feel compassion and unconditional love. Thanks to his delicate power, we touch subtle places and open ourselves to the inner voice. Inhabitants of ancient Mesoamerica called cocoa a sacred plant, they were used during ceremonies to contact gods. The Maya and the Aztecs knew that this plant could teach us how to go deeper into the heart and mind of the Mother Earth, and also enjoy our body and sexuality to rediscover the true magic of the healing power that is in us.
